Because there are lots of LGBT's and it's good to discuss differences.

Nothing wrong with homosexuality. Are you implying it as a good thing or a bad thing?

My little guy who im advisor to stopped being so gay for once. (homosexual was written in past posts since that was what my music teacher called it) He is gay on the 'hey lets have a child' level and mentally insane. He is 10 (like everyone in my grade except danny1w who is 9) and I guess I could call him my least favorite person in the school.

Um
I don't think you're using gay right. If I understand correctly, you're using it to mean childish, but in this case, we're talking about homosexuality. Please don't call people gay like that; it's rude and distasteful.

My school are full of homophobes. Every thing you do, you must say "No homo". Seriously, grow up.

Homophobia is disgusting.
One thing I hate: People saying that all Christians are homophobic. I'm Christian and I'm not.

Actually, there are a bunch of posts about heterosexual crushes and such.
I hate the use of the word "straight" in that sense, as if heterosexuality is the right way to be and anything else in wrong.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender.
If you've been attracted to members of both sexes, you're bisexual. Like me.

Oh, OK.
It makes me mad that people are against LGBTs. My school has a Gay/Straight Alliance thing.

That's cool. Mine does too.
Also, do you mean you think the person is pretty, or are you actually attracted to her? Like, would you go out with her?

They're actually going to teach first graders about this starting January...
What are your thoughts on this?
Personally, I think that's too young. Kids kind of messed me up by talking about this kind of thing in fourth grade.

Both.
If she knew. She's the cutest (and only) 65 lb 6th grader I've met She's also the sweetest. Yes, sometimes it gets annoying. But everybody does something annoying sometimes.

I think it's a good idea. People should know about it. It's not like children don't know about heterosexuality, so why should this be any different?

Well, even kids that young say they have "crushes". (I don't believe them.) But anyway, the more knowledge they have about it from a younger age, they less scared and hating LGBT's they'll be. Actually, my grandma said she didn't really learn about it until she was about twenty. I say that 1st graders are just old enough to sort of understand.
I also agree with everything veggieman just said in the above post.
