Sound Trouble

Sound works fine on the java player on my cpu, but it doesn't work on flash or downloaded making it hard to watch and make projects because there is no sound and java is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow. Alos when i put sound in a project i can't hear it, play it, and in scripts involving sound they stop working because the sound never plays. Help!

Re: Sound Trouble

Sound blocks or play note/drum blocks?

Just an idea, see if any of the volume settings are muted.  I'm not sure how to do this on Mac, but if you're using Windows:

1.  Right-click the speaker icon in the bottom-right of the screen.  If you don't see one, there should be a "<" button you can press, and that should show it.
2.  Select Open Volume Control.
3.  If Mute is checked for any of them or any of them are turned down all the way, unmute or turn them up (whichever is necessary) and see if that helps.

That isn't the problem and o sound works at all. I have found the same problem with youtube.

Sounds like a problem with Flash (which Youtube uses).  Try downloading the latest version of Flash.

EDIT:  Wait, it doesn't work downloaded?  Hmmm...

It won't delete them if you saved them, though I would make sure they're outside of the Scratch folder just in case.  Re-installing might help, but I'm not sure...

Have you tried running the projects in a different browser?

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

You should.  See if it works in IE or Firefox.
