I stabbed myself in the base of my thumbnail a few months ago.

Yes, it was an accident. There been a patch of yellow thumbnail traveling up the nail since then.

Who wants pictures?

It was with a hobby knife. He's also hit himself on the knee with a sledgehammer.

Let's not turn this into a gross-out contest folks.  So please watch it with the pictures.

But, getting into the spirit of things, when I was about twelve I managed to tear my thumbnail completely off, using a drill press.  I was being stupid and it was pretty gross.  My nail did eventually grow back,  but it was all bubbly and weird for quite a while.  It's fine now  smile
