I don't use Blender, but I use 3ds max. If you have used a 3d Modeling software before, most of them are straight forward. Blob8108 could probably help you with Blender.

I made a tutorial a while back that introduces Blender a little.

Im Infinite_Minus_zero. Ive been on scratch for around 4 years now, ive got a few accounts, but this is my main one. (my old one is N8596)
Im in middle school, thats about all I can say. (other than im a boy)
along with scratch, I enjoy:
•reading
•writing stories
• playing minecraft
•playing runescape
(and ive been working on learning code.)

Anyways, really excited to have joined this colab!

If I'm right, I think ill pick Artist, if that's what I think it is. (mainly drawing graphics right?)
I'm OK w/ Scratch Paint, and I've got windows Paint on my computer, i hope I'm not expected to make full 3-D images with blender or something :\. Glad I could join this wonderful... Team? i think that's the right word.

For the password, Blob will get it to you when he is online, he is the "expert" on it. Seeing as you a re best at animations, you would be a great help for trailers of upcoming projects, and transitions in the game (from on scene to another) etc. Don't worry, there is a spot for your skills.

To those who've just joined us:
We're planning to make a game based on the retro game called Elite. Go grab a copy of DOSBox and download the game here to try it out! 

A quick summary: you fly between star systems in your spaceship. You can dock with the space station orbiting each planet to buy and sell goods and upgrade your ship. The prices vary between planets, and they're all different types with different histories. When flying between planets, pirates sometimes attack you; or you can go and attack others!

The view from the spaceship is 3D, but as it's retro, it's very basic 3D and so won't be too difficult to do in Scratch. In fact, something similar has already been done!

I wrote a post here (about halfway down) that explains the game in detail. Go read it!

I hope this helps to bring you up to speed; I wouldn't want you having to read all 1000 posts, most of which are to do with our last, finished project anyhow... 



To get the Dropbox details:
We can't post the password here directly, because we had problems with other people getting into our Dropbox. Here's what you need to do:

> Go make a Mailnator (just make up a random, hard-to-guess name).

> Go to check the inbox for the new email address. At the top in tiny red writing, just below "Inbox for...", it says the alternate email address for that email (eg. M8R-wedrsj@mailinator.com).

> Post the alternate address here, and I'll send you an email telling you how to get onto the Dropbox!

Because you've given me the alternate address, only you will know the actual address, so only you can check the email.

We occasionally have problems with timezones; Mailinator deletes the emails after about 4 hours, so please let me know when you plan to check it, so it doesn't get deleted... 
(I'm in the UK, so I'm usually around in the evenings 'til about 10pm GMT).

I'm not sure if sharing email addresses here is allowed.    You can post it here, of course; but you might not want to post your email address publicly on the internet...
