Good science fair project?!

Hey~

I'm in 6th grade, and for some odd reason I've decided to enter the science fair. I don't expect to win or anything, but it'd be nice because the top scorers get to go to the state science fair!
Anyway, if you have any ideas, please tell me, because I am completley stumped. Nothing fancy, just something simple will be good.

Thanks!

Stop asking us and think of one yourself.
Geez.
It's kind of cheating, you know.

Actually, it's not.
I'm not asking you to do the project FOR me. I need something to build of off.
And if you don't have anything nice to say, would you quit saying anything at all? It's a waste of MY time and probably yours, too.

Plus, I only asked you ONCE. You make it sound like I've asked twelve times over.

If you're aiming to go to the state science fair, you'll need to do something that you won't find in one of those science fair books (unique experiments are an eye-catcher for judges. This speaking from personal experience with science fairs before  tongue ). So you'll need to make the experiment up on your own.

Most judges like experiments that can be applied to have an impact on today. That is where you should start researching. Just pick a science topic that is relevant to today (and, most importantly, something you're interested in!) and then think of an experiment related to that topic.  smile

Liquid Methane and bacteria.

See if they survive. c:

If they do, surely they could survive on Titan.  tongue

REV UP THAT MINI FREEZER, BECAUSE IT'S SURE GOTTA BE COLD TO HAVE LIQUID METHANE

Question:

How do you pronounce 'fagot'?

Re: Good science fair project?!

I'm doing for my science fair project (8th grade), Does The distance between the  weight and the fulcrum of a trebuchet affect the distance that it throws a projectile?

Oops, strangely I don't think it's relative to today, relevant to a few centuries ago!  tongue

Although I could use this experiment and enter Pumkin Chunkin...

Well, you could change it up for another fulcrum experiment. Maybe a fulcrum pump experiment instead, where you study to optimize the fulcrum pump design?  smile

Re: Good science fair project?!

How different type of music affects math - go get some worksheets, mass copy them, and play different types of music with your class while they take them.

I did it, and got first place, so I think it's a good one.

Happy to help you out.  smile
