The black holes will always decay almost instantly due to "Hawking radiation."

It has not even been proven if it will actually make black holes, and if it does, they will be "mini" black holes, a current theoretical particle which are harmless and microscopic.

That does not prove anything. It's just like saying that the universe just appeared out of nowhere (which I believe it did; so that does not prove anything either).

Oh, and in case you haven't already figured this out, I'm an Atheist. Or in my spare time, a polygonalist. (I'm making up my OWN religion.) and for those who aren't satisfied, some have already voiced your opinions here.

Back on track: A kid at my school once said that there was a 50/50 chance of the world getting swallowed by a black hole, and that Germany has the whole world in their hands. Quite stupid if you ask me, especially since it was only a test run.

Not some silly debate that a tool for greater understanding of the universe will kill us all, thanks to those poor, nonbelieving, naive scientists who strive to find explanations other than "God did it"! I doubt the point of Christianity was to impede scientific progress. Isn't religion something to find a moral standpoint to strive for? Isn't religion something to help you act like a better person? Isn't religion something other than skeptics going into the Space Age kicking and screaming like centipedes on drugs? Apparently not! Mayhem, please, find a quote somewhere that does say that Christianity is not supposed to impede understanding. I know there's one out there.
