Time Manipulation Projects

Created some 'Time Manipulation' projects, so far, I created:

-Closer you are Slower time goes.
- Rewind Time Mechanism

All of the above fully work!
If you want to see some of the projects, here is a link to the gallery:
http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/41884/created/asc

Please comment on them! I need some feedback, and suggestions on what to do with those projects.

Thanks!

Re: Time Manipulation Projects

This sounds really cool! Also, if you were to integrate these into an interactive time machine you could put it in my gallery of inventions! It's called "Inventor's Workshop".

Re: Time Manipulation Projects

I'll try that, after I made some more time concepts like slowing down time  big_smile  I might also make more complex rewinding time, where it rewinds more than one sprite!

That, would be pretty cool.

Re: Time Manipulation Projects

Yeah, the time manipulation concepts are from the game called 'Braid' for XBOX360, it inspired me to create those concepts on Scratch. I was trying to figure out how to make a Rewind Time Mechanism, and I found a cursor recorder on the Lists folder in Scratch, and I made it record backwards (instead of beginning to current, it's now to beginning), and I got my idea!

(Also Thanks for replying, your the only person that posted)

Did you try the projects yet?

Sorry, I couldn't try them... For some reason Scratch won't open and my java won't work either... But, once I get Scratch working again, I'll download them!
Also, what's Braid? I heard of Time Cat for the XBox but not Braid.

Re: Time Manipulation Projects

Braid, is a puzzle game where Tim (the protaganist) searches for a princess. If Tim dies, you can just rewind time, so no consequences, but the gameplay and storyline is great! The puzzles are hard to solve because in some worlds time flows differently, in one time is connected to the x axis, so if you move forward time moves forward, but if you move backward, time goes backward! In another world when you rewind, some things are not effected by time! It gets confusing some times!

That sounds really cool! I might get it!

Re: Time Manipulation Projects

Hope you get your Java fixed soon!  And I'm planning to combine all the Time Manipulation Concepts into a game like Braid on Scratch!
