Hi New Scratchers.
Here's what you can do:
Post topics anywhere but Miscellaneous, which isn't all that bad, considering Scratch isn't all about things NOT related to Scratch.
Post projects. There's no limit to doing this
Ask questions. Don't be afraid, you're new, so we don't judge.
Now here's what you shouldn't do:
Make Misc. topics here. They will be closed. This section if for new scratchers
Complain about being a new scratcher, since everyone has been a new scratcher before so they feel your pain and it's futile to complain, sorry
For more please read the Terms of Use C;
Feel free to suggest stuff to add.

what is misc?
It's Miscellaneous. It means random stuff. i honestly don't know why New Scratchers shouldn't post there, but whatever......

For those who are wondering...
New Scratchers are not allowed to use Misc because it can get spammy and junk filled, even in such a loose category. With that said, not all New Scratchers are the most appropriate, polite, or mature people, so Misc is restricted to those who may cause problems.
And nice tips SM

These are good tips. I think they should also check out the Scratch Wiki.

Err... good suggestions but i think its a little Harsh by saying: "Complain about being a new scratcher, since everyone has been a new scratcher before so one wants to hear you complain, sorry." i don't think scratch will sticky this.... its good but i don't think they will...

I agree with that, the wording in that particular line could've been softer. ^^ I think the same can go for the title.

Agreed. A little harsh and un-friendly.

A netbook should be able to handle it.

Yeah, in school we have Scratch on our netbooks. What makes me mad is that we never get to use it
