Reporting a user?

So hi. I've got someone who is diliberately hunting me down and telling me 'Shut up noobie' and 'you suck' and exactly how much I suck. I do flag their messages but, for some reason or another, this isn't stopping them. Yes, I've thought of blocking them, no I do not intend to because I find it cowardly and childish. The main problem with scratch is it doesn't have a very good reporting system. I had someone create a gallery about how much they hate my projects and they're still active today.
Is there any way to report a user? I'd like to know.

Re: Reporting a user?

You should contact the Scratch Team privately using the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page if you are having issues with a specific user.

Re: Reporting a user?

You can also add them to the Ignore list!

Under your profile, there's an 'ignore' list. Add the username to the ignore list and you'll never hear from them again!

(edit) I didn't read the full thing, eck.

I don't consider it cowardly in any way, all you're doing is saying "Get out of my face", in a way that they can't hear.

Re: Reporting a user?

To answer your concerns, ignoring is not childish or cowardly.  Instead, it will really help you, because you then won't be able to see the responses while the mods and/or Scratch team takes care of it.

Your best bet here is to flag the spam. If the Scratch Team sees a lot of spam by the same user, then they can take the actions necessary to stop the spam from continuing.  smile
