Zoom and the paint editor

SUPPORTERS

There should be an in-script zoom function for the entire stage. The following blocks would allow zooming, which would be useful for animations that use that. The zoom levels would run on percentages, with 50 being half size, 100 being normal, 200 being double, etc. You would be able to set it to zoom in centered on a specific point. The x/y grid would zoom in with it (I will add pics later to make this clearer).

COMMANDS
[set zoom to(100)%]
[center zoom on x:( ) y:( )]
[set|left|side of stage to x:( ) y:( ) and x:( ) y:( )]
      |right    |
      |top      |
      |bottom|

This would set the parameters of the selected side of the stage.
Note: I did not include "change zoom by" because I has a quick workaround (hint: the zoom reporter below).

REPORTERS
(zoom level)
(x pos zoom center)
(y pos zoom center)

Think of more? Reply!
EDIT The paint editor window needs to be resizable for this to work. Better graphics too.

Re: Zoom and the paint editor

Or you could be really good at Scratch and devise of your own zooming method with variables. erKSTOCK does it all the time.

And two, stop bumping. No replies means no one wants to reply.

Sorry about the bumping... I deleted one. But can you tell me how to do the workaround for zooming?

Re: Zoom and the paint editor

Alrighty bud. I myself am NOT an expert at this... sadly. But I'll link u to a really good zooming project.

Psst, my bumping comment seemed kinda harsh. It wasn't supposed to sound like that.

This stuff is rather advanced, I myself couldn't not get it last year. But there's no point in not trying.

Re: Zoom and the paint editor

I support!!! Then that way we won't have to make the sprites bigger. Omg that would save soooo much time!

True, but it's not just about making individual sprites bigger (in case you didn't know, use

[blocks]<change size by( [/blocks]For that). It will increase the size of the entire screen. I'll show you with images when I have time). We'll need a paint editor that will allow you to make backgrounds/sprites that are BIGGER than the stage size.

Thanks for explaining, but I already know that it will change the entire size of the screen. I was saying that if we get this feature, we won't have to make each sprite bigger.
