Scratch

For some reason I can't open a scratch file from the folder. I can open it from the Scratch file but not on the computer folder. So I can't transfer my project anywhere and I need to move from place to place very often. And I can't see the saved file in the Scratch Folder.

why?

I think that scratch projects can only be in scratch, and nowhere else.

you mean in the folder, yes they are in the folder

For Me. I Can't Open Normal Scratch Projects From The Desktop Then It's Supposed To Open It In Scratch But It's Not Working But I'll Live. But I Can Move Projects...So I Got Half Of The Same Problem You Have.

I have pretty much the same problem. i have an XO Laptop and two things happen when I download projects. 1) I can't open the file. And 2) It calls all project files "download.".

If you have mac or linux this will NOT work!!

Way 1: The Safest way! :Right click on any Scratch Project then click "Properties".
It says it opens with "Windows Shell Commor" or "Windows Shell Common Dll".Click the "Change" button.Then click "Browse".In the top bar type "C:\Program Files\Scratch"
(without quotes, everything I tell you to type is without quotes in both ways to do this).
and select "Scratch.exe" and click "Open" then "OK"
If that doesnt work ,Type "C:\Program Files (x86) \Scratch\" and select "Scratch.exe",
click "Open" then "OK" .If it doesn't work Use way 2.

Way 2 : The Less Safe way ADVANCED USERS ONLY!!! Use Way 1 first! : Type Windows Key + R . It should bring up a Run box.Type in "regedit" and press enter.Find HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and right click on it and click "New" ,then at the new menu on the right click "Key" .The folder should expand and at the bottom there should be a folder called "New Key #1".Rename that ".sb" (remember the dot before "sb") .Click on the ".sb" folder then on the right there should be something that says:
"(Default) REG_SZ (value not set)" .Double-Click on that and in the "Value Data" box,
type: "Scratch". Close Registry Editor.Right click on your desktop and click "refresh".
If this doesn't work ,reinstall scratch. If that doesn't work,I dont know what to do.
