OS collab

I am starting a new OS project. It will have a style all it's own, unlike windows, mac, or linux. I have made one OS before, doors OS, and i want this to be better than that. I need OS devs, app devs, and artists. I will be everything except artist.

OS devs:
samtwheels
ssss
bbbeb
a1130
FULL!

app devs:
samtwheels
ssss
henley

artists:
ssss
a1130
Zeusking19
FULL!

Here are some apps to make:

NOTE: these will be built in, not written in MoonLight.
TextType
Quantum Interactive (like DOS)
MoonLight SDK
AtomPaint
Music Player
Quantum Media import
xMovie(importable)
Calculator
My Calendar
Help
About

Also some design features:

dock on two sides
favorite apps menu
easter eggs (if your user has a certain username or password)

Re: OS collab

Okay, I thought of an idea. maybe we should build in a programming language to develop apps for it? we could incorporate moonlight, a collab language I'm working on. they could be made separately and distributed, or made right in the OS. Even in SynOS, the apps are made in scratch. this could be different, more like a real operating system then any before.

There could be an app, which is a coder to code the apps in moonlight, on the os.

Re: OS collab

I am working on a start button. Our logo could be a diamond :p. We could implement a setup with the OS. can I do that too?

I'll revise it once i get access to my home computer. It looks a little too much like Windows.

Re: OS collab

It will do at the moment. We are going to have the open programs bar at the top, with start menu at the bottom.

Re: OS collab

ssss, can you start converting MoonLight into an SDK, using lists to save apps?
Everyone, make sure you use comments on your code.

Re: OS collab

How about we make an app that installs all imported apps, so that you can import and install later. Also, I'm naming some apps.

Yes! I'm in  tongue

I like the name Quantum. By the way, WaveOS exists, so we can't use that one. Geek is good for a command-line OS, but that's not what we're trying to make  hmm
