Number Operations

Does
(( 20 </> (( 2 <-> 1 )) ))

= 20 or does it = 9 ?
20 because 20/ (2-1) = 20
9 because (20 / 2)-1 = 9

By my testing, it looks like it would equal 20. Evidently nesting Operators inside each other is like putting parentheses into an equation.
