Wha, whaa?
When I break a stone brick in Minecraft 1.8.1, it justs breaks and I don't get the block in my inventory. It works with trees and wood, but not with stone 
(I'm in survival mode)

Stone you definitely need a pickaxe. I don't know about stone brick.

Except leaves, flowers, planks, logs, grass, dead shrubs, long grass, dirt, sand, gravel, saplings, fences, signs, torches, clay, soul sand, wooden slabs, wool, mycelium, wooden stairs and some others, yeah.
