Re: Mesh Drop In!

that ip address is your local ip, as such, only people on your home network will be able to join (those that are connecting to the same router as you). lots of complicated things need to be done for external users to be able to access your mesh game.

Also, what scratch project would people use on this mesh? how would people communicate?

Re: Mesh Drop In!

What would I need to do before others can do my mesh games?
Also, we are starting with a basic chat engine for technical purposes.

Re: Mesh Drop In!

Correction: The IP is the IP I got when I started the mesh. Anyone who wants to join should download my project (mesh chat) and join.

That's a pretty short session.

I'd like to drop in, but maybe make it longer?

And I believe the time already passed...

Re: Mesh Drop In!

To use over the internet you need to forward the scratch mesh communication port on your router to the host. Give out the router IP address and it will forward all communications to the host.

Oh if you enable mesh may I request you play my mesh games.

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

Re: Mesh Drop In!

As kayybee and what-the said, that is your internal IP address.

I suggest read about IP addresses here, or at least the Private/Internal IP addresses: http://compnetworking.about.com/od/work … 42400c.htm

If you want to host Mesh or run Mesh, I suggest looking up Port Forwarding: http://portforward.com/
