File Extensions and Exporting Images in SCRATCH

Many apologies in advance if this is in the wrong section of the forums, I'm still fairly new to the site and have trouble determining the proper place to ask certain types of questions.
----------
I have a question about exporting images in SCRATCH. When I create sprites in SCRATCH and export them, the images are exported as a .bmp file, with a bright pink color replacing any areas that used to be transparent. However, I was wondering if SCRATCH is able to export images as .png files with the transparent areas still intact. I'm kind of tired of having to convert the files and manually erasing the pink areas.

Re: File Extensions and Exporting Images in SCRATCH

Hi cheddargirl, currently Scratch cannot yet export to PNG. However, we're considering adding this capability in the next release.
