Minecraft free classic version help
I've tried pressing different buttons but in the free version of MC Classic, I can't get the inventory to appear! Help?

I think I've tried B, and something did appear, but I'm not sure how to craft things together.

Hate to break it to you, but you can't craft in MC Classic.

That's because it's the classic version without many features, including crafting, health, hunger, etc. There'd be no point crafting in classic because you already have all the blocks
That's why many people want to upgrade to the beta, to get not unlimited supplies (in survival) and being able to craft, yet also getting a creative mode with the new items.
