I'm getting a little tired of "scratch isn't for this" and "that's not what it's meant to do" Really, scratch should be able to do what you make of it and what the scratch programmers make of it. +1

But scratch isn't for it.
Scratch should only be made for what it's for, to improve on the features of what it's for.
Let's take your program stencyl. Would you be glad if the next update started teaching you latin when they could have been improving the programming system?

Scratch doesn't need better graphics to help kids learn how to program.
Image editing system isn't the main feature of scratch.
Making projects is, and you don't need good sprites to have a good game. You don't even need sprites to make a game. You can have a circle and square, and some text and the game could be better than any game! But it's the programming that matters, not the art.

Artwork actually helps make games better sometimes. Lol LATIN doesn't.

but scratch isn't for making good games it's for learning how to program so you can make cool games in other languages. you don't see c++ having a nifty little graphics editor now do you? it'd be a bit silly, cuz that's not what it's supposed to do.

Well, you could provide a translation to a dead language
But Scratch's purpose is to let kindergarteners learn how to program.
Artwork won't teach then coding. Likewise, Latin won't either.
My main point is, that if you want better graphics, go to something that already can handle better graphics, or something that was meant for not just teaching little kids how to PROGRAM, not draw.

lol, Latin is not a completely dead language. Anyway, it occurs to me, why has the subject been changed from graphics editor to latin? Plus, why don't you just make the sprite on photoshop or whatever, even PAINT will do! Save the picture and import into the sprite editor and *wow* you have a really cool looking, non-pixellated awesome as sprite!!!
