Yeah, they are. They're pop rock, which is a genre of rock. There's no way that Fall Out Boy isn't poppy. They're the DEFINITION of mainstream.

My method around that is lip syncing. I do it really well. Works on saying the "pledge" without really saying it because you are *ed off that you say it everyday.

It all depends on what you mean by new music. Hip hop, rap, and pop has always been around its just more popular now. There are bands that are like 90's and 80's rock bands. I love modern rock, I also love some hop hop such as 3OH!3
