What is the difference between a normal link and am add.ly link? And why would it nt be allowed?

[please don't put commercial ads on Scratch] links are not allowed on Scratch. In general, we don't want Scratch to be used for monetary and/or commercial purposes, so links designed to help someone make money are not allowed on Scratch.
It's best if you just post the regular link, or, if you need a URL shortener, use something like TinyURL instead.
