No seriously - THIS IS GETTING REALLY ANNOYING!!!
I really think we need some sort of messaging system. Only friends who both have each other added can chat, because when I want to talk to someone in private, it's really hard, because you have to find some way of doing it. I REALLY THINK WE NEED THIS!!!

Yes. I suppport! It's sooooo annoying if you have to talk through comments.

If you want to talk, go take it somewhere else.
And comments aren't for talking, so you're lucky that you can even "talk" through them.

Yes, but if you were to chat somewhere else, you would need to link to that other place, and then other epople could see the link, and it wouldn't be private would it?

Use softwares like skype ? i mean comon thats a very simple choice or use chatboxes like xat or tapeer (under development) which has a private chat system inside the main chat

The reason why we don't have private messaging on Scratch is to make sure no one is being bullied, hurt, or abusing the system (commercial spammers, for example). The Scratch Team has said it before and will say it again, we are not getting private messaging
