When we try to save a Scratch file, only Folders and Drive Mappings are recognized. My students have a network share that they access through an assigned shortcut. There is no mapping or folder for this shortcut.
How do we get Scratch to recognize a Shortcut (We're in Windows XP).
Our work-around:
Launch Scratch
Save a file to My Documents\Scratch Projects\...
Close Scratch
Copy the Scratch file to the student's Network Share Folder
Launch Scratch by double-clicking the copied file
Scratch now saves to the correct folder.
It's a tedious work-around...
Any Suggstions?

try right clicking the shortcut(not in scratch) and copy the contents of the target field. then go to my computer click tools-> map netword drive and set the location to th target you copied
if each user has a different folder(i.e. different shortcuts) this will not work

well, it might do, you just will have to do it for all students. It all depends on the specifics of how it's set up.

Try going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Scratch, then edit the Scratch.ini file and add to the bottom:
Home=C:\MyDocuments\Scratch Projects
Hope it works.
