Scratch

Let's discuss what you think are the good things and bad things about the Miscellaneous forum. And then say whether you think it should've been created in the first place.

PROS

-Helps us grow as a community.
-Keeps non-Scratch topics out of other sections of the forum.
-Can inspire ideas for projects.
-Can start some very interesting discussions.

CONS

-Can bring in a lot of this.
-Many people join just for the Miscellaneous forums, which is against the purpose of Scratch, and less people are visiting the other forums (which means advertising your project in the "Show & Tell" forums isn't a good way to get known anymore).
-Starts flame wars.

Overall, despite the fact that Miscellaneous has it's issues, I'm glad it was created. It helps us grow, learn new things, and get new ideas, which is a great thing for a community to have, IMO.
