I'm glad that my eReader can do this yet the iPod can't.

Because it doesn't. Apple doesn't make java. Apple makes itouches. [/thread]

First, it's iPod Touch, not i Touch. Second of all, you have to download it from Sun Microsystems (or Macrosystems. I forget), but I don't think you can do that on iOS because the only files you can access are apps from the App Store, and you have to download the Java installer, which you can't get to on iOS. So pretty much, you can't get Java. While on the subject of iOS downfalls, I really wish that they had Terminal. I use it a lot.

Apple needs confirmation from Java to do that, so there's a couple of options.
1.) Apple doesn't want java, which would be understandable, considering they have Flash.
2.) Java doesn't really want to give Apple the permission, because they're mad that Apple wanted to get Java out of their macs (Because it had possible viruses).
3.) Maybe Java would need to make the java for the iOS, and they don't want to.

its javascript not java, there is a difference. and then people wouldn't need applications. Its all about money in a business. thats why they dont have flash
You can use flash and java if you have a desktop app like splashtop: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/splashto … 8&ls=1

When you turn javascript on, you have javascript enabled. You didn't enable anything else though.
When you try to view a project without java, it fails.
It's javascript, not java script. Java script could mean a script in a java program or something.
According to fanofcena, javascript is better.
According to most minecrafters, java is better.
But either way, they're different. So if you're going to enable javascript, don't try to open a java application without java.
(it's basically like saying i'm going to download photoshop (which views psd files) to open a mid file)
