I actually don't play many games and i don't know the companies behind them.

Are all of you serious by saying Mojang? That "company" is less than 10 people who are only developing one game seriously and have never released a single full game before. Furthemore, they even fail to optimize and fully release that one game even though now they're called a "company" and millions have bought their one project despite it not even being a game (it is still in beta version).

Valve Corporation has been around since 1996 - their Half Life series alone are put amongst the best. Bethesda's Fallout is generally an amazing game, not to mention the other 20+ blockbuster games they have released. Firaxis Games, as unnotable as it is, has made probably the greatest TBS series yet (Civilization). Not to mention Rockstar, Bioware, and other real video game corporations that actually know what they are doing.

No offense - Mojang may be your favourite video game design team, but it isn't the best.

Mojang is making 3 games. And you can't say it isn't the best since this is entirely opinionated.

For comparison, Valve has released roughly 23 or more games, and possibly developing more than 3 currently. How can a company be the best if it has not released a single game?

What is up with you all? You have such horrible opinions.

Of the best game companies, there is EA, Microsoft, Valve, Toys for Bob, Blizzard, and Bullfrog (now Lionhead Studios).

Of these games are Dungeon Keeper, Fallout, Banjo-Kaazoie Nuts & Bolts, Starcraft, Star Control, the Command and Conquer series (after Westwood Studios was bought into Microsoft), Team Fortress, Portal, and Half-Life, and so many more. These are amongst the greatest games ever.

Nintendo... no. All they can make are little hand-helds and family games. If you are a gamer that likes more then family games, then don't get a Wii or a DSi.

Mojang... again, no. Like Vurb said, they haven't officially released one game and they're not even a real, gigantic game company (again, like Vurb said there are probably 10 people, maybe less).

Sony. All they've done are make good graphics, allow Blu-Ray, and other music or video related things. Truly, they make poor game systems. They've completely leeched off of the Nintendo Wii controller (Just look at that thing!) and the games just plain suck.

Of the three major game companies, Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo... Microsoft is the bare-bone best.

Because the games the other company made aren't as good quality?  Think about what you are saying there.  You are saying 'Quantity over quality'.  Isn't the fact that Mojang devotes alot of their effort ot bring us a quality game, make it a good companty?  And this thread is entirely opinion based.  Wow I hate human nature.
