I've come to the conclusion that the cause of the problem on the server was that the source was from a dev build and was buggy. We'll just have to wait for an official release.

I'll be attempting to get SimpleServer to work myself, by grabbing the source code and recompiling it.
Good. That was just a fail.

Erm, that was what I just did...
Oh. Fail.

Hey, sorry to bother you, but I tried installing iConomy, followed dozens of instructions, and the commands still don't work. Can you maybe copy and paste your config file or something?

I'm always happy to help with any problems!
How exactly are the commands "not working"? Like, is there an error in the log? Post that.

Thanks, and by not working, I mean absolutly nothing is happening. Not even a "Unknown command".

What's the database system you're using?
@walt: I've just learned (from sadimusi, a SimpleServer dev) that in recent versions, SimpleServer will require either ! or / for every command, not just its own. So I could put the server up and it could work like that, but it'd change when a new version of SimpleServer comes out. What do you (all) think?

Right. Decision made, all commands (including ! commands) will be / until further notice. Engage!

lolz, there's been an option for ! commands to be / commands for a looong time, and it's the default too (unlike what it used to be, which we're too used to
).

Well, there's a few things that's keeping me from keeping the server up:
-iConomy refuses to listen to its config and tries to connect to MySQL even though it's supposed to use H2
-MyHome says I don't have a home even though the database is obviously there (using SQLite)
-MyWarp says I don't have permission for any /warp commands
-Possibly (probably) others
I'll be investigating more stuffz over the weekend, grab any possible errors from the log, and report/fix bugs over the weekend. Stay tuned.

*facepalm*
I just realized...
The reason the /home and /warp commands don't want to work is because SimpleServer is the program running them! They used to be ! commands, so they were out of the way, but now that all commands are /, they're getting in the way of the Bukkit ones. Looks like I'll have to find a way to disable them for the time being.
But that still doesn't explain iConomy's glitch...

I WANTZ CONCAT
I can't wait for it to be back up. Don't put us through what happened before... *shiver*
2 months of concatless torment.

lolz, it was only 1 month that it was down.
But anyway, I've found out how to make SimpleServer forward commands, and hopefully the server will be up soon. I just need to figure out iConomy...

SSSSSSSKKKKKKKIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRMMMMMMMMMM! IT'S UP!
With a few problems. The simpleserver commands don't work (! because it's not that anymore, / because I don't have permission), WE doesn't work, etc. etc.
