Do you recommend getting the Shugo Chara manga?

Also, do you know any good mangas for a "beginner" in manga reading? They have to be appropriate for a 10-11 year old. Preferable categories are fantasy, shoujo, shonen, sci-fi, and comedy. But nothing too ridiculous, magical girl mangas aren't really preferred except Shugo Chara.

Try the pokemon mystery dungeon maybe? There's only one, but at least it's something!

My review of times of episodes
1-10:I like this the best. There's just this feel to it i love. It reminds me when i always watched it on late  summer afternoons.
10-20:Pretty good, but there were some meh episodes like The Breathtaking Speech Contest, but awesome episodes like One Two Three Heart's Magic and Big Disturbance New Year Live.
20-30:Pretty good too. There were good episodes like Character Transformaiton Amulet Angel and Gaurdian Characters Rescue Misssion. But there was a MISREBALE episode in the 20's,Kidnapping Of The Guardian Characters.
30-40:I like these alot.I couldn't really think of a bad episode. Dosen't have that feeling in the 1-10. though.
