Importing multiple images as individual sprites

Each time I bring in a new image, it becomes a costume of the selected sprite. Is there a way to import a bunch of images at once, and immediately establish them as their own sprites?

There was a way to import an animated gif file and each frame was turned into a separate costume, though I'm not sure if that can help you.

Re: Importing multiple images as individual sprites

No way to do what you have described, although it is possible to highlight multiple files on your computer and drag-and-drop them into Scratch. However, they will still be added as costumes for the current sprite.

There is one feature that might help you a bit - if you right-click on a costume, you can select "Turn into new sprite" from the list that appears. This basically turns a costume into a separate sprite, but you'll have to do it manually for each one.

Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: Importing multiple images as individual sprites

Thanks for your replies. It'd be nice if this feature could be built into in a future version of Scratch.
