Supposedly there was something like that where you could subscribe to certain threads and see when those threads had a new reply, but it was glitchy and had be removed.
There's an e-mail digest function that is similar, but it hasn't been working for a lot of people lately (no idea when that will get fixed). 
Everything is better when you add a little cheddar, because when you have cheese your life is at ease
