This is possibly the worst event in the short history of computers. I've always felt as though Mac had better hardware and creativity than windows, while I prefer the windows or a linux operating system. I love the sleek style of almost all mac products, with either the shiny white finish or the matte gray finish, as opposed to those ancient towers with the ugly cream finish. Not to mention the innovation of iPads and iPods and iPhones, which tons of major companies have attempted to copy, never with as much success.

Sorry. I was terribly mad that Jobs died. So I was having a negative attitude. Blame veggie for that.

Really unfortunate. He shaped much of modern coding.

Companies like Apple plan their production months early. I'm almost sure he was aware of merchandise that is not to be released until 2012. It's just that he didn't live to see the announcement of the iPhone 5

Modern coding? What?

Stopped reading there. First of all Windows is not an actual machine, it's an OS. That being said, Windows has nothing to do what kind of "hardware" your computer has.
Also if you didn't realise, Mac OS can be installed on a computer that has equally bad hardware as it would have if Windows was installed on it.
And lastly, the Mac computer is just pre-built from various other computer parts. You can use parts of a Mac on a regular PC and vice versa.

How is Steve Jobs related to programming? Are you aware of what coding is?

It's really sad. I knew he was having some health problems, but I didn't know they were this extreme. Kind of unplanned.
Well you can't exactly PLAN a death, can you?

I am aware of what coding is. PF said it better.
No-one would have made any iOS devices without him creating it first.
@Servine: No way.

If he is, New Target.
Quote from wikipedia:
Gates released a statement saying:
"I'm truly saddened to learn of Steve Jobs' death. Melinda and I extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends, and to everyone Steve has touched through his work. Steve and I first met nearly 30 years ago, and have been colleagues, competitors and friends over the course of more than half our lives. The world rarely sees someone who has had the profound impact Steve has had, the effects of which will be felt for many generations to come. For those of us lucky enough to get to work with him, it's been an insanely great honor. I will miss Steve immensely."

Of course not. They are competing, but they don't hate each other. Look it up, there's more to know about them.
