EDIT: I force updated, but I'm still getting the internal client error problems...

Hopefully not, if you do it right. This way, you can install each mod one by one and see which one is causing the problem if they (in their regular properly-installed form) are the issue.

Edit: @edit: Oh noez. Back up your worlds and delete the .minecraft folder.

All I need to backup is the saves folder to do that, correct?

Must be minecraft.net. Online-mode servers might not be able to reach minecraft.net to verify. That's what I think. :S

Give creepers a 0.5% chance that they will obtain the ability to fly during the day time.
