Re: Is the Simpsons appropriate?

Hmmm, there are some mentions of * and some mild language, but to be honest, it's no worse than most TV shows you will find and much better than the discussions and language she's going to be inevitably exposed to at school when talking to her friends. I think you should let her watch shows with such mild problems that she's going to find out about sooner or later no matter what you do and just let her enjoy the comedy of the show, which is of course what makes them so enjoyable  smile

You're their sibling, not their parents.

no, my parents dont care what she watches
so i have to make sure she's not ecposed to anything too innapropriate
wether you like it or not

Well, they CHOOSE not to monitor what your sister watches. It's their decision, not yours. And really, if you want to keep her from seeing inappropriate things, don't let her go to school.

Re: Is the Simpsons appropriate?

5 and younger-no
7 or younger- make sure the episodes are appropriate
8 to 9- make sure the episodes are appropriate
9 or higher- sure
Note- make sure she isn't repeating any of the bad words used

No offense but your parent's seem a little careless if they don't bother to check what there daughter is watching on TV, again No Offense
and hope this helps  smile

Re: Is the Simpsons appropriate?

I'd say i think babbet made the best guide.

Ive only seen like 3 episodes at my cousins, and i think it's fine. It's alot tamer than FG and SP.

Re: Is the Simpsons appropriate?

The less funny new episodes are usually pretty tame

Re: Is the Simpsons appropriate?

Id say its okay.. I watched it when I was 4 and 5 and it was grand.. Like I cant remember there being anything bad and if there was I didnt realise it at the time so I'm fairly sure it would be okay (:

No, they block channels but are unaware of innapropriate stuff on \unblocked channels

Then they should be more aware. Again, it's their responsibility not yours.

What for? For thinking that it's the parent's job to parent a child, not their older sibling's job?

Mentions beer, sometimes [minor] swear words, I Guess... It depends on how old your sister is.
