Friend Request Decline

Oh my gosh, I don't believe Scratch hasn't added this! Half of my 'friends' are people who spam friend requests to everybody they see so they'll get views. They want views so badly, they even friend social rejects. Please, Scratch, add a 'Decline' option and a 'Accept' option so people won't be able to spam endless requests and the receivers will be really, really, really, really, really, really, really mad.

Re: Friend Request Decline

A Facebook-like system where you can accept or decline requests has been brought up as a possibility for Scratch 2.0. Check here to learn more.  smile

Re: Friend Request Decline

Currently, the friending system is more of a following system. If someone friends you, you don't have to friend them. And if you don't friend them, only your projects will get more views not theirs.

Re: Friend Request Decline

You're not forced to be friends with them. If you don't want to, just delete the message and don't friend them back.

I don't understand the problem here. You being on their friends list won't affect you in any way.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Oh. Okay.

Well, the point is that the feature of friending is inappropriately named. it should be named following. But I guess you should be able to block someone from following you, but it doesn't matter if they're following you or not.

Exactly, you can just ignore them. You don't have to friend them back.

Any new projects you make will appear on their front page which means more views for you!  big_smile
