About Macs:
Macs crash less often for two reasons
1) Less mac users = less hackers = less viruses
2) Macs may or may not be more protected from viruses.
I'm not saying that Macs will never get viruses, it is just less likely, considering the mac to windows ratio is 1:10 respectivelylinux has even less viruses...
i hate this 60 second rule!
I agree with that, mainly because the linux to mac to windows user ratio is 1:10:100

btw, has anyone even tried this?...
I have. And actually, people, this won't keep it from crashing, but it will cause less freezes. The computer has more memory, so it's less likely to run out. And in many cases, freezes cause crashes, or at least make you have to restart your computer, etc, etc.

it is not just the boot up speed... it give you more virtual memory which makes your computer go fast...
No, it just increases the boot up speed of Windows.
To get more memory:
1)Go to your local computer store.
2)Ask the guy for "Extra REM". The price differs from store to store, but the average is around $10.
3)He will hand you a disk with REM marked in large block letters on it.
4)Put it into your computer. Make sure your current OS is selected.
5)A prompt will appear asking you what program you want to run the disk with. Select "cmd.exe". It stands for "Command Prompt.exe".
6)A second prompt will appear, asking you where you want to save "REM[cmd].exe". Select "My Computer", then "OS_Install[C:]".
7)It will ask you to confirm. Do so.
8)If you're not on an administrator account, you will be asked to enter an administrator account's password.
9)Wait a while, then click "Eject" when it finishes.
10)The disk will pop out and you can do whatever you want with it. Some stores will give you back a deposit amount of money if you return it to them. Have fun!i don't know what u r talking about... r u sure u don't mean RAM? coz RAM doesn't come on a disc... it is a card thing that u insert into ur RAM slot inside ur computer... oh and this tutorial actually made my whole computer go faster... before i did it, it was going so slow i couldn't even type!
The reason it is in the Boot tab is because you have to select an OS
Nonsense. Technologically Impaired Penguin said you could buy RAM so IT MUST BE TRUE BECAUSE IT HEARD IT ON THE INTERNET AND [ahem - ease up, please. Even if you are kidding, there's too much potential for confusion.

How to make your computer never lag:
Slide a magnet over the entire hard drive (Look it up! It is a part, it's in the big box) Done! Nothing in the hard drive, nothing to lag on! 1/5 comps will crash by doing this. Do not blame me.
According to my magic cyborg hand, 1/3 of you believed this.

I have had Macs crash on multiple occasions.
So shut up and stop acting so uppity.
Me too. And the new Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) is SOOOOO buggy. My icons get rearranged, weird files show up on my Desktop randomly that can't be deleted, and it randomly says that I can't open apps, and to give myself access on an Admin user (there's only the original user on the computer).

Stop trolling nick, everyone knows that the hard drive contains core programs about the computer, if you wipe it the computer will self destruct. Or at least crash and re crash and blue screen of death six thousand times.
Everyone knows if you WANT REM, you can't use cheap tricks. You have to INVEST in it. Buy REM!
