@kayybee
actually, I don't HAVE to learn objective-c (although, I probably will) I could instead use javascript, html, and css, then use a program like Phonegap to convert it from javascript to objective-c. I've heard that objectivge-c is a difficult language to learn, so I'm not going to learn it right away....

Are there any inactive iPod testers that I can replace since I am already doing everything on my iPod anyway?

objective c is really just a mix of smalltalk and c
assuming you can figure out squeak and c, it'd be easy as pie

I will have to agree with you. I already know Squeak, so that much is done, but I hate C. C is the most annoying language ever, because there are all these terms like void, protected, public, private, include, main, etc. But, its easier to learn then C++.I was able to learn C#, if it's similar to that.

c isn't too bad
void is like the simplest thing there is
if you'd like to get into c, check out processing, which is built on top of java but has somewhat c-like syntax

I'll think about it.

MAJOR UPDATE FOR IPHONE:
So. Does everybody know about the drag move test? If so, then go to it and try to move the blocks.
If not, go to it.
I am using some new touch events that will not work on a computer or simulator. This is good news for everyone, sort-of bad news for us, because we have to rewrite our own sortable functions.

I know! I also changed it so that you can drag anywhere on the image!

Okay, I'm really busy and so I probably won't be able to program. However, I can test the iTouch for you.
The drag move test is excellent! now time for you to work on snapping into place and dragging entire scripts.
You just read my mind! I put shaking support in the tests, so we can have an option to "shake to save". Anyway, I'll work on moving the whole structure (drag move #2) and making blocks snap together (drag move #3).

Any progress on 3DS?
Research notes:
- 3D video recording for 3DS comes out in November (system update)
- Red 3DS out (not very useful)
- I have an eBook on Processing, plus the language is made by MIT.

The tests work now. How about restricting where you can drag the blocks in the drag move test?

Yeah. I'm testing other drag thingys, so I'll get to that later. Good idea, though.

Ask comp500. He's on charge of Ds development. I'd tell you how it's going, but he didn't upload it to the server yet.
