Edit HTML of my Gallery?

Okay, so I run this RPG thing that's in a gallery, called Knights & Sorcery.  Here's the thing: the ampersand (&) sign makes it show the HTML code for it (&).  Is it possible for me to edit the HTML code of the page to write in the & web code?  I do use Firebug, but that's just client-sided and doesn't save the page, anyhow.  Help, please?

Re: Edit HTML of my Gallery?

Well, this could be a suggestion, to allow gallery editing, but to edit the HTML of your own gallery, you would need to hack scratch website  tongue

Oh.  Well, I have a basic knowledge of several web languages (learned like 5 in a day), so... how?   tongue  JK

Correction.
You learned the basics of 5 in a day.

Back in my day.... there were no laws that censored the internet... now, there are.... nah.

No. Mods only have control over moderation, not admin powers. Not even Paddle2See or cheddargirl could do that. It would have to be someone from the main website development team, sorry!

Really? Cool, how do you know? As far as I'm concerned, Paddle2See has access to the MySQL database, and Andres and (why do I think this?) JSO have access, among others, to the FTP and therefore could in theory allow custom pages.

Still, remember that the galleries do not have a page for themselves. They are just minute entries in a database, nicely displayed by the layout page at http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view.php.

So, unless Scratch allows HTML in the future, which they probably won't, you're not getting to edit the HTML.

That was all besides the point. The ampersand glitch is really annoying. The only workaround is to use the actual word "and".  sad

Too bad.  And I suppose I shouldn't email the Scratch team just to fix that.

Paddle2See is part of the scratch team AND a moderator, I think he still has admin powers... maybe not.

If you are reading this, please read to the end, because if you don't you won't know what's at the end. Don't just skip to the end though otherwise you won't be able to read the middle, which is most important. Now you must be wondering why you just read all that, the reason is you may have not noticed something, read it again and see if you notice it this time  smile

Meaning fix the glitch. They're going to do that in a while (with 2.0), if ever.
