Hi.
Over the past few years video games have been criticised for being responsable for a lot of things, such as massacres and murders.
Let me clear this up in this very long message.
First of all: There is more than enough research to prove that video games, in particular the ones with more unsuitible content have actually relieved stress from people.
Also, those who slam video games usually make facts up about them. There are no Points in GTA, for example. And one phsycologist believes games like bulletstorm, because of it's innapropriate jokes, cause crimes I'm not going to mention here.
As a player of voilent games such as halo or Team fortress myself, I haven't felt like killing someone. It's like saying pacman encourages cannibalism, or mario involves animal cruelty.
The fact is, it isn't video games that kill people, it's the people who kill other people. There isn't enough morality or consequence in todays world. The don't know what will happen when they kill someone. They don't know that the family will grieve for thier lost members because of ones actions. In my oponion, we shouldn't blame media.
-End
Anyway, do you think I should send this to fox?
Edit: there. Now I have edited the "I like halo and TF2" part.

I agree, but maybe revise and edit before you send it?
Ok, as in what?
Yes, I will make it longer and add words that I don't feel secure posting on scratch (No swearing, mind. I'm not that sort of person)

Once Mass Effect got bashed on FOX for having a * scene.
Then this guy tried to explain that you only get it was chosing exactly the right things and that it was highly unlikely you'd get it.
But the hosts just ignored him.

Well said! I've heard of people saying that the only thing good thing about video games is that they might get you into a college for crashing cars or blowing up the world. Have those people ever even heard of Mario?

Do all people who do crimes, play voilent video games? And do all people who play volient video games, do crimes?
No, myth busted.

Although I agree, I don't think you should send it.
I mean, let's be realistic-They probably won't even read it. Do you know how many mails FOX probably gets?

I don't agree at all.

Listen. Video games don't rot peoples' minds and make them turn 'evil' and 'murderous'. People who meet those characteristics are attracted to games like that.
But not everyone. Some are caused to commit crimes from stress, and they play video games to get rid of the stress. Games where you smash cars and blow up the world sure does get rid of stress and anger, right?

Some people punch a pillow or something when they're angry. I think of violent video games to be the same thing, except with blood and you're blowing up fictional people.
Notice "fictional". If the person playing the game can't tell the difference between fiction and reality, they shouldn't be playing those kinds of games.

If you say "I like violent games" no one will take you seriously. Try using a different word.
Maybe something like "I play some of the games that have generated controversy".
Oh, and explain your reasoning, veggieman001.

You spoke your opinion. I applaud you for that. But without actual reasoning, then it just looks like you just believed it because someone told you or you're worried that people will criticize your viewpoint.

1. I don't care what other people think
2. I don't need a reason, although I have several
3. I don't like sharing my reasoning behind my opinions with people who in general don't respect differing opinions.
I will not respond to responses to this post.

The hilarious result of a typo on "My"

I agree (even though I enjoy Mario-type games instead of shooters).
I like it and recommend you send it (but just correct typos). But don't just send it to FOX. Send it to any other organizations/companies that have blamed video games for real-world violence.
