FIRST, put one of your friend's hands in a glass of water while he sleeps.
SECOND, tell them that once your grandpa slept camped here when he was a kid and saw a bear. String up the food for extra effect.

Extremely detailed and lifelike portraits of men who seem to be staring right at the hunter. Horrible, distorted faces.

"Just pictures," he mutters and goes to sleep.

The next day he wakes and looks at the wall again. But that's when it hits him. They weren't portraits at all. They were windows.

Because I've read lots of stories that I don't know the names of, I name them myself. Thats what I call The Hunter.
