So was working on the final details of my project and when I was all finished with the programming of my content I went back to add comments. Well after about 6 comments in the program would freeze up and I'd have to wait a couple of minutes for it to catch up.
I'm running a mac on snow leopard which has 3gigs of ram with a 2.2Ghz processor and I'm only running chrome with scratch.
Wondering if anyone has any thoughts or fixes for my situation.

Scratch, in its current iteration, has a problem where very large scripts cause the program to lag when you try to modify them because it takes Squeak (the language Scratch is written in) a very long time to render the script. Depending on the length of your scripts and the size of the comment blocks, that could be your problem.

girl you should tell your mom to fix that compurter and you should remake one that is better

If you ask me, your problem is that you don't have enough RAM, a common problem with Macs. Upgrade to a PC with at least 4 gigs of RAM.

Sorry to not reply faster but raced out the door to the genius bar @ the apple store. We did some power of deduction and realized it wasn't the program but my code that was causing the issue. I was a little shocked because my "script" was only 15 actions consisting of changing costumes and waiting .2 seconds.
Anyways so it was in fact along Harakou suggestion. I was writing a comment for every action I had and instead condensed my comments and had no problems afterwards.
@Nitezscratch and princessm101 I've had this mac for 4 years and have never had a problem or a virus. I rather slit my wrists than buy a Windoze machine and to be honest I originally started out on a PC but have been blissfully happy on a mac. Once you go Mac you don't go back!
