In case anyone noticed, my new icon is the front page of the letter sent to Apple developers inviting them to an iPhone event.

Apps are developerd by registered developers but don't work for Apple. How pointless apps are, doesn't matter but they are monitored by Apple's App Store team unlike the Droids App store which anyone can post apps on.

Yeah. Unfortunately, you still get some bad apps. It's really not that hard to pick through the bad ones, but it can be annoying.

I've heard rumors that they'll make it more iPod Touch - like, with a curved stainless steel back, but we'll see. I've always preferred the old iPhone3Gs design to be more artistic smile

Not completely true. I own an app and I know that some apps are just for entertainment purposes but most apps are based on productivity.
