In case anyone noticed, my new icon is the front page of the letter sent to Apple developers inviting them to an iPhone event.
Will it be the iPhone 5? I'll keep you updated

It has billions of pointless applications.

The iPhone you mean?
Apps are developerd by registered developers but don't work for Apple. How pointless apps are, doesn't matter but they are monitored by Apple's App Store team unlike the Droids App store which anyone can post apps on.

They're going to get to the iphone 100.
Is that what you think?
I think the 8 will be it, then they will close it and open a brand new category, smething better and more advanced.

Anyone can post apps on iPhone too.
And they only remove it if it directly copys another companys game.
So it does have a bunch of pointless apps.

You can only post apps on the iPhone freely if you have a jailbroken iPhone...

Apps undergo review, but that's only to ensure they comply with Apple's regulations. There really are lots of poorly made and utterly worthless apps on the App Store.

But to upload it to the app store, it's $100 (One payment, with the amount of games uploaded not mattering), and then a review for every game, right?

Yeah. Unfortunately, you still get some bad apps. It's really not that hard to pick through the bad ones, but it can be annoying.
Anyway, about the new iPhone: I personally will not ever buy an iPhone, but I'm interested to see what Apple will do with the new revision, especially considering the drawbacks of the last design. I've heard rumors that they'll make it more iPod Touch - like, with a curved stainless steel back, but we'll see. Naturally, we'll see hardware upgrades under the hood, like a faster SoC and probably more RAM.

I've always preferred the old iPhone3Gs design to be more artistic

I do. I like Apple's products, don't get me wrong. However, I've grown increasingly discontent with their business practices as of late, so I refuse to give them another cent.

I still use it, but I don't buy any apps.
I guess you could say that I'm actually supporting Apple just by using their product in public and thus increasing the social prevalence of their devices, but hey, I'm not going to let a perfectly fine device go to waste.

I don't think I've ever said anything about pirating apps.

No, to be a registered apple developer, it costs $100 but apps don't cost extra.

There's probably an app to complain about pointless apps

Not completely true. I own an app and I know that some apps are just for entertainment purposes but most apps are based on productivity.
