Autorun.inf and RECYCLER are USB based viruses. Help me get rid of it please.
After bashing the file on my USB repeatedly and having a war with after it keeps respawning, I finally managed to kill it, eternally. However, as the webpage I read said it would, it infected my computer so I cant run my USB if the autorun.inf isnt there. HEEELLPPPP ME PLEASH!

An autorun.inf file is a text file that can be used by the AutoRun and AutoPlay components of Microsoft Windows Operating systems.
-Wikipedia.
However, it may be used as a NAME for a virus. (like dwm.exe and DWM.exe

Autorun.inf isn't a virus in its self, I have one on my usb with gives it a little icon, it's just what the code in it does.but Recycler... never heard of it.
What exactly is the problem?

You see... I looked up on the webpage and what is said was exactly right. I cant go on microsoft, yahoo or any antivirus sites.
So, basically, it just wont let me access my usb, until I used run to locate the recycler folder in my USB, deleted anything inside, then pressed 'up a folder button' and I could access my usb that time. But when I tried from my computer, it wouldnt work!

Why don't you have an anti-virus installed on it anyway?
Might be time to format the usb - then:
Get V3 Lite (use another pc and copy the installer to the USB)
Install on the PC.
Run full scan.

Make a copy of the files on your flash drive (except for autorun.inf and/or recycler) and format your flash drive. It will permanently remove every file left of your flash drive. Including Recycler. If that doesn't work, run a virus scan on your computer.

Autorun.inf is not a virus itself. It just auto-runs the content on the disc/usb device/something automatically. Tons of programs use Autorun.inf, even legitimate ones.

Do you have any anti-virus software?
YES, AVG, but that wont pick it up!
Is its definitions updated? Do that, and run a scan.

Get Malwarebytes' Anti-malware. It can pick up a lot of stuff. Yes, there is a premium version (for real-time protection and stuff), but the free one includes the main points such as scanning. It will pick up everything and try to remove them, free or premium.

I use the premium one because I actually bought it.

Are you able to get the computer in Safe Mode (both with and without networking)?

I put it on my dropbox. The latest version. You still need to download a new virus database (which it will after installing).

Go get FileAssassin from Malwarebytes. It lets you delete "locked" files.
