Any chance there could be a tweak to the BBCode parser, so that it doesn't interpret anything as blocks outside of an explicitly designated blocks section? Would make writing out code examples using brackets and parentheses much less annoying.

No, I think he means when you do a double parentheses, it turns into )) [/blocks]and other stuff doing that. In my opinion, it'd also be nice for it to not make the text blue in the blocks, 'cause that gets annoying when EVERYBODY forgets the "/blocks" at the end.
Normally I just put spaces between everything, like this:

say [ you mean like this? ] for ( 2 ) secs
wait until < ( abs ( answer ) ) = ( yes ) >
say [ okai then ]
