It never really depends on the school itself.
Some private schools may have bad teachers, you never know.
EVERYTHING has its pros and cons.
Private schools are considered better educationally, yet are more expensive. They're not guaranteed in greatness either. Some schools may be pure awesome, some may be iffy.
Public schools can be just as good. I have great teachers this year, I have friends. I know people in private schools who have plenty of friends.
I suggest not being so ignorant before ranting on like you did. And if you're going to go on about the meaning of ignorance, I DO know what it means.
@mattb77 That may be true for your school, but some schools aren't that bad. Every school has its problems, but not all of them are extreme or crazy. And trust me, I have heard of private schools with problems.

all schools are different, as I said before, there is one close(ish) to my house and kids bring drugs and knives

I go to a public school and my friend goes to a private school and I have about 3 friends that used to go to a private school so I know a little aboout both
Public Schools Pros:
A happy, social enviroment
Public schools cons:
A okish education
ps. Unlike the movies there are not many bullies at a public school because the school administartaion takes care of them
Private school pros:
A VERY good education
Private school cons:
A TON of money
Not a very larg "social" aspect
At the end if you want a good education go to a private school but if you want to have fun then go to a public school

geesh, im tired of people ranting and stereotyping on kids that go to private school. Let's put it at this, ALL schools are different. Public and private schools have pros AND cons, public might be better for some, and private for others

First of all, Haloplayer, I've been to both public school and private school. The way you portray private school is completely FALSE. I had A LOT of friends in private school. Practically everyone in my class was my friend. We all had fun together. It was an enjoyable community. Maybe you were just so busy hating private school, you didn't make any friends.

I'm in private school and I learn MUCH more than the public school I was at before I transferred. Maybe some private schools suck, but definitely not mine,

I've been to both. I have to say... I hate private school. Bullies, fast-paced, hated the teachers. Public school was/is better for me.

O btw...there are NO bullies at my school--people claim that there is a strict 130 IQ cutoff so the kids there are smart...and we engage in a program called SEL (Social Emotional Learning) and we learn stuff about social behaviour, correct ways to behave in certain situations...etc
I love my school, the kids are great, I would never want to leave.

Heh, Private Schools have bullies as well. I went to private schools where in recesses there were no teachers or anything watching over us, so every one just beat each other up, and then called them (The people they beat up) some word which I think is across the lines of "Slave".
Public schools, depending on the place and school, can be messed up. I know some good ones, and some which are full of drugaddicts. Really, it depends on everything-Home life, school administration, et cetera.
You need to check on your pros and cons, though. Private schools usually have better education, as the best teachers usually try to be teachers in private schools. I'm guessing because it's probably less stress and more pay.
The public and private social experience is basically the same, depending on the school.
And you're not taught 'useless stuff' in private schools, nor in public schools-Depends on what your point of view is.
