Why can't I find a friend?

I'm a high school teacher in Arlington, Virginia who is working with a group of students learning Scratch, with the aim of teaching it to 4th and 5th graders next Summer.  We each created logins on the Scratch site, and we wanted to explore setting up a collaborative space for us to share programs and experiences with Scratch.

I can not find any of my students to add them as friends, even though I know they have an account.  They can find me, but not the other way around.

Any ideas?

Re: Why can't I find a friend?

If you know what their usernames are, just type in the URL which will be of the form

                  scratch.mit.edu/users/username

where you would replace "username" with their actual username.  To save some typing I usually just click on the My Stuff button to get to my home page, then I edit the URL to the name I want to visit.  Hope that helps!
