something that might be of interest?

http://www.thehubcentre.info/general/news.html
This is the link to "the hub"-national centre for craft and design.. which is located at sleaford in Lincolnshire. At the moment their is an exhibition lasting until april 2009 about "manga" .. There are workshops and lectures at the site as well as the exhibition..
also if ever there was a place to organise a "national uk scratch get together" i think this might be the place to do it.. well its only a thought.

Looks fascinating!  Are you familiar with the location?  Do they have a good spot where a gathering of Scratchers could congregate?

By the way, we need a term for a "gathering of Scratchers".  "Herd" doesn't seem dignified enough.  Maybe a "School of Scratchers" kind of like fish?  Sorry...getting off topic here  smile

How about calling a gathering of scratchers a pride of scratchers? The mascot is a cat and they're related to lions. A group of lions is called a pride.
