Can I play downloaded scratch games without the editor opening?

Hey. I'm new to scratch.

I just installed the scratch program, and then downloaded some of the cool games that you guys have available. I had to download them becuase most of them ran choppy when I played them online.

Anyways, I was just wondering if there is a way for me to play them WITHOUT the whole scratch editor opening up. It seems to slow the game down since it is running all sorts of other stuff while the game is running. Thanks for any help on this!

What you probably want to do is run them in Presentation mode.  Just below the stage area (where the project runs) you will see a little TV monitor icon.  Click on that and the project will be in full-screen Presentation mode.  Then, you can click on the Green Flag in the upper right corner and it will run.

Generally, projects run faster in Presentation mode than in Development mode.  To exit Presentation mode, look for an arrow in the upper left corner of the screen.  Hope that helps!

I think he means he wants to open a project without going into editor mode like maybe making it look like a .exe instead of opening it in editor mode then going into presentation mode. If Thats What You Mean then you can only do that with a complier/converter. Otherwise it can't be done currently.
