Satire vs. Trolling

Occasionally, while posting satirical, sarcastic, or when I'm angry, sardonic comments, I'm accused of trolling. There's obviously a fine line (I don't even know if a thick line exists) between the two. How would you guys differentiate the two?

I consider satire having the intent of a joke, and trolling having the intent of harm or annoyance.

Re: Satire vs. Trolling

I made a whole topic about me being angry.

It was about me not being able to have a signature due to the N.S. status.

I didn't get accused of trolling, but this guy kept saying I didn't deserve a Scratcher status.

Re: Satire vs. Trolling

I vandalized the fine line between satire and trolling.

EDIT:As well as the fourth wall.

Re: Satire vs. Trolling

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Sardonic or trenchant remarks often stir up a negative reaction and come across as rude, but it's only trolling if they're deliberately written to stir up anger.

Oh, yes sarcasm is soooo beautiful. We should make art galleries dedicated to it. A National Sarcasm Society should be set up! We should have an OLYMPIC EVENT FOR IT!

I do the same as you, fellow Scratcher. I do too. 10x worse.
