I, actually, thought KFP was a great, very deep, movie. Not only did it portray an accurate allegory to a universe where the Axis-Powers developed nuclear weapons before the US, but it also maintained exquisite character development!

And note the inherent symbolism.
Tai Lung represents the greedy countries, lusting after oil and nuclear power, while Shifu are the poor third world countries struggling against them. Po and the Furious Five are obviously the United Nations, stopping war and chaos everywhere. The dragon scroll represents nuclear power.
