I have this picture that i want to be in scratch that has the .png file extension, with transparency. Whenever i try to import this into scratch, anything that was transparent changed to solid black. Sorru if this explanation isn't very good. Here, ill post some pics:

Is there any workaround to this? or does scratch just hate semi-transparent images?

I don't think it's possible to do that. I don't know why not but it doesn't.

I have a suggestion: transparency rounding.
0-49% transparency = 0; 50-100% = 100. Not perfect, but better.

instead of using transparency, make it different shades of gray (black -> white)
