If I put a warning at the begining of a project that has innaproprate content that says

"This project has the following innaproprate content:
(whatever innnaproprate content here)

Do not watch if you cannot handle this content"

does that mean its okay for Scratch?

I'd preferrably like a response from the Scratch Team

Sorry, I'm not from Scratch Team, but I do think I can give my two cents. smile

It really depends on what content you're talking about, in all honesty. If it's something such as blood (and anything else falling into that category) I imagine it would be acceptable, so long as it's not excessive use of blood. A rule you'd have to remember for this, is again, don't use blood too much, because Scratch isn't a Shock-Site, is it? lol, but yeah, to wrap things up, blood and etc. is acceptable, and with anything else, more than likely not. tongue

When it comes to projects uploaded to the Scratch site, there are a couple things that could happen - it could get marked "For Everyone", marked as "Not for Everyone", or it could be censored. As one would imagine, a project that is marked "Not for Everyone" would be a project that doesn't really break the Community Guidelines and is therefore allowed on Scratch, but is one that the Scratch Team does not wants to exemplify as a good example of a Scratch project (and can therefore never hit the front page).

Whether or not your project is okay for Scratch, that depends on the content in the project (I've seen projects with a warning marked as "Not For Everyone", while other projects with warnings getting censored).

Keep in mind that a warning on the project doesn't mean that Scratchers will follow it (a small kid could always skip the warning and view the project), so even if a warning is placed on there, if the content breaks Community Guidelines, it will be censored anyway. So just make sure that, whatever you put in a project, it's can be viewable by everyone (not just those who can handle bad content) wink

[Just in case it might be helpful here's a thread regarding violent Scratch projects on the site, most of the helpful responses from ST members span the first three or four pages if you wish to read them smile ]

if i knew this earlier, i wouldnt have changed a project that may or may not be posted from tak (my cat) covered in blood to her covered in ketchup.
